Real Estate & Investment - Profile
Basic
Chemical Industries (BCI) is one of the most respected enterprises
in the Eastern Province, started by Sheikh Abdulla Fouad in 1975.
Beginning with the Kingdom's first core alkali plant, built to
meet emerging needs in the oil and healthcare sectors, BCI quickly
expanded its scope of products to include chlorine and hydrochloric
acids. Today, BCI output makes it one of the largest single industrial
organizations of its type in Saudi Arabia.

The company also supplies a broad range of essential chemicals
imported under special license and distribution agreements
with such major firms as Unilever, ICI, Atlas, Cheminor
and Olin. High demand for BCI's products led to the doubling
of its plant capacity in 1977, with plans for further
expansion ahead. BCI continues to focus on basic chemicals
essential to growth in the industrial sector.
