Taking into consideration the booming healthcare sector of Saudi Arabia and the rest of the Middle East, especially due to large investments made by the government, we at Abdulla Fouad realized the need to do our bit in helping this sector thrive further. We closely researched into what this sector requires and assessed our own capabilities and expertise. After months of deliberation, Abdulla Fouad Holding Company selected MediNous as its partner to provide specialized software to the Saudi healthcare sector.

MediNous is a world class hospital management system based in India with an excellent customer base all over the Middle East. MediNous has specialized modules covering end-to-end requirements of any hospital.  Examples of such modules are Nursing, Finance, HR, Store keeping, Pharmacy, In-patient, Out-patient, Patient registration, Laboratory management, Electronic medical records, Dietary, Emergency, and Assets maintenance.

MediNous application is a complete end-to-end hospital management system catering to polyclinics, midsize hospitals and large hospitals both in the private and government sector.

As a first step into this sector of the IT market, we organized a Value Day. The event took place on the 22ndof May, 2011 in Movenpick Jeddah. Invitation were given to Doctors, IT Managers, Medical Directors, Finance and IT staff from more than 20 hospitals of Jeddah and Taif.

The senior management of MediNous had flown in from India especially for this event. In order to make the event more attractive we had a quiz session in between and the winner was each given a special gift. We also had a mega lucky draw towards the end of the presentation. The Value Day was concluded with buffet lunch for all the attendees giving everyone present a chance to interact at a more personal level. The next day of the Value Day was reserved to give one to one presentations to all attending hospitals.

The event was well received by the audience and looking at the positive feedback, we will be planning similar events for other major cities of the Kingdom.

For the past 3 years, Abdulla Fouad Computer Division (AFCD) has been supplying personal computer hardware to one of the largest Oil companies in the world. This 5 year lease contract for the supply of desktops and laptops (workstations) is one the biggest of its kind that any vendor can envisage. The project scope was to replace all existing and obsolete desktops and laptops with technologically advanced and latest hardware. To achieve its objectives, AFCD had to hire a huge number of qualified engineer’s to meet the required response and resolution times.

AFCD hired almost 100 engineers and other required staff to meet the heavy work load that the contract demanded. Special attention was given to hire Saudi nationals. Appropriate training and orientations were delivered to familiarize any new hire. AFCD also setup a unique and dedicated facility to prepare and image all workstations prior to delivery. This meant out of the box availability of each workstation upon arrival at customer site.

It was a huge undertaking and AFCD takes immense pride in its performance and achievement so far. AFCD achieved the expected deployment deadlines well in advance. This resulted in enormous satisfaction on part of the customer. Upon completion of each workstation replacement, subsequent support for 5 years is to be rendered by AFCD. Our commitment to continued and relentless support is evident by the fact that hardly any trouble tickets can be found open. A proud achievement indeed!
